Sinner hails 'amazing' Cahill with coach set to retire
Jannik Sinner has paid tribute to master coach Darren Cahill after revealing that 2025 will mark the final year of their successful partnership.
The Italian brought the Australian on board in June 2022 and he has overseen the 23-year-old's elevation to world number one and a two-time Grand Slam winner.
The 59-year-old Cahill is set to step back from tennis after decades on tour working with some of the biggest names in the game.
"He brought me so many things," said Sinner at the Australian Open, where he is defending his title.
"I feel very, very lucky and happy to be his last player on tour. He has been an amazing, amazing coach and person, not only for me but for all the other players he has worked with.
"For me it's just a huge honour. Hopefully we can make a nice season. But let's see. Let's see what's coming in the future."
Cahill guided Lleyton Hewitt to become the then youngest men's world number one and also coached Andre Agassi.
He has previously worked with Andy Murray, Ana Ivanovic, Fernando Verdasco, and Simona Halep.
